One Month Old

Caleb turned one month old on Saturday! He had his one month appointment this morning and here's what's new with him:

• He weighs 10 pounds 13 ounces (3 pounds in a month isn't bad!)
• He is 22 1/4 inches long (almost 3 inches in one month)
• His hair is starting to thin out on top (boo hoo)
• He takes a bottle every so often
• He smiled (while awake) for the first time today. It was funny, too. He stopped crying for just a second to smile and then started crying again!
• He holds his head up very well for his age
• He likes to be on his tummy
• He really enjoys white noise. His favorites are running bath water, washer and dryer, and the dishwasher
• He did develop baby acne pretty bad, just like his big sister. Doc said we could put hydrocortisone cream on it and it would be gone in a week. We'll be testing that for sure!

Now here are some pictures I took of him this morning after his bath. The chair he's in decided not to show up very well, but I think it made for some neat pictures.

I just had to mention how clear Caleb's skin has been, didn't I? Monday morning I made an appointment for his first portraits, and by Monday evening his face had tiny red bumps all over! I haven't decided if we're going to keep the appointment or not. But isn't that just like a man!

This is all I'm going to show you since the changing table isn't that exciting and the other half of the room is a tad cluttered. But this is the important stuff. It turned out nice, I think.

Do They Look Alike?

I can't believe it's taken me so long to do this. I tried to find the closest matches as far as pose is concerned. I don't think they look much alike at all. What do you think?

The two main differences between them at this point is 1)Obviously, the hair! and 2)Laura Anne had baby acne at this age. Caleb's skin is clear as can be. They both have their own distinct features, that's for sure.
