Two Months Old

Two months have gone by since our little cherub came into the world. I can hardly believe that. We have gotten to know Caleb a lot better over the last month. Here are the latest details:
  • He weighs 12 pounds 9 ounces (a gain of just under 2 pounds since last month)
  • He measures 23 3/4 inches long (one inch longer than last month)
  • He smiles a lot and recognizes Mommy, Daddy and big sister, Laura Anne
  • He's very alert, and makes eye contact very well
  • He sleeps in his crib all night, waking up once or twice to eat
  • He still struggles with congestion at night, which the doctor said might be reflux. If the symptoms don't go away in 3-4 weeks, the doctor is going to look into medicine for reflux
  • He only likes one type of pacifier, but only wants it during the day. At night he sleeps without one
  • He continues to gain strength in his neck and loves to be on his tummy. He has almost rolled himself over a couple times!
  • His hair thinned out on top, but I think it stopped falling out.
  • He's about to take his first trip to Florida!

We are leaving tomorrow for a week and a half. My brother and Chris' niece will be graduating from high school next weekend. That means the kids will get to see extended family, too! Caleb will get to meet my grandfather for whom he is named after! It will be special.

So I guess we'll catch up when we return! I hope everyone had a great Memorial Day holiday.

Another Birth Announcement

We welcome into the world three brand new little robins. They were born on Saturday, May 17th.

Could this be another egg yet to hatch?

Mother's Day

I thank God for my wonderful children! What a blessing to be a mommy!

Mother's Day Present

We took a trip to Wrightsville Beach and the North Carolina Aquarium for my Mother's Day gift! It was a great day and we all had a lovely time.

I simply couldn't resist doing this! We got some attention from people passing by. It was pretty funny!

I just love this playful picture of Chris and Laura Anne together:

My Smiling Boy

Potty Training 101

We have started (again) the journey of potty training with Laura Anne. She has successfully used the potty approximately twice everyday for the past 3 or 4 days. Thanks to Grandma for her help! Laura Anne loves her "Once Upon A Potty" book and reads it to me now while she's sitting. She's enjoying being a big girl and hopefully will continue her potty progress and save us $$$$ by moving out of diapers! :o)

Surprise Guests

Chris' parents were able to squeeze in a quick visit this past weekend. We are glad they could come and meet their newest grandchild (the 2nd boy out of 9 grandkids!) They left to go back home this morning. Here's some photos of their visit.

We miss you already,
Grandma and Papa!

And My Handsome Boy

He seemed pretty happy to help me out with the laundry

And here they are together

My Beautiful Girl

Yesterday was a beautiful day. We spent a good bit of time outdoors, and I was having fun snapping pictures.

Fun In The Bath

Caleb actually didn't mind his bath too much the other day. He usually doesn't enjoy it a whole lot. I can't get over how big he looks in this picture!
Excuse me, Mommy! Did you remember to wash behind my ears?
Laura Anne used to make a face like this. I love it!
