A Favorite

A few things to note:

1. At the start of the video, Caleb is saying "cheese" because he thought I was taking a picture.

2. Laura Anne's gum

3. When I say I love you to Caleb he says, "too".

4. I can't even spell the adorable way he says Spongebob Squarepants. :)

We're Having A Baby!!

My pregnancy was confirmed by a doctor this morning! Not that we had any doubt about it, but it's always nice to hear, "congratulations! You're pregnant!" Right now, I'm 12 1/2 weeks and the little baby nugget's heartbeat was between 160 and 170 beats per minute! It's such a refreshing and wonderful sound, the heartbeat. I am a little, no a lot, disappointed because I won't get an ultrasound this time, until about 20 weeks. So we'll have to wait a little longer before we can see our baby. But it's encouraging to know that he/she is alive and well in there.

Until the next pregnancy update....

Finally, here are pictures from Christmas day!

Caleb wasn't too thrilled about seeing gifts under the tree. He's still too young to get it, I think. Oh, and please excuse the clutter. Chris had just gotten home the night before. :o)
Caleb warmed up to his train set pretty quickly! That's all he wanted to play with for a while. Actually, I think he would've been happy as a clam if he didn't get anything else all day. :o)

The kids with all their loot:
After Christmas at our house, we travelled to Gainesville for Chris' family gathering (at which we didn't get but a couple pictures, and they didn't turn out well), then we drove to Jacksonville for Brianna's family gathering.

Our last Christmas as a family of four! :o)

So Long, Farewell, Auf Weidersehen, Adieu 2009

Dear 2009,

You were, by far, the strangest year I ever experienced. You brought my family and I many, many changes and challenges. I'm proud to say that we came out stronger because of all those challenges. But I am thankful that you are gone offense.

Thank you, though, for the experiences. We wouldn't be the same people without them. So farewell 2009. You will forever be a year remembered.

Love, Brianna

Dear 2010,

Greetings! I'm super excited about the changes you have for us this year! Just please, could you not be as difficult as 2009? We had some challenging life lessons in 2009 so I think we're good for a little while. Thank you in advance, dear 2010. I love you already.

Love, Brianna

Gingermen House

Laura Anne calls it a gingermen house. I think it's adorable.
She helped decorate our little house.
Her way of helping most of the time was "cleaning" up the spilled frosting. :)

I think this last year's gingerbread house turned out super cute!
