What a busy weekend we have had! Jerry and Ellen were able to come down Thursday through Monday and we had a great time while they were here. Thursday evening we took the kids to the beach after Chris got home from work. The storm clouds kind of chased us away after a while, but we had fun while we were there.
My sister, Sheri, came along too!
I don't remember what Caleb was looking at here. Seagulls, maybe?
Oh yeah, in case you didn't know, we frost Caleb's hair. Okay, not really, but it looks that way since he had a couple months worth of blond hair. It's now changing back to brown, so his hair is looking pretty darn cool these days.
Chris' sandcastle with a gorgeous sky behind:
Friday we all took a road trip to the Altamonte Springs, Sanford area to look at a few homes for Chris and I. (More details on that soon)
The kids enjoyed playing with my feet.
Saturday, we went to my parent's house for lots of swimming and food and fun!
This was so cute. Caleb was "tickling" Anna's feet and even making the sound "deedle-eedle-eedle".
We all drove to Orange Park to watch the fireworks. It was the first show I've seen (in person) since having kids! It was awesome, too. Caleb was a little frightened at first, and clinging to me, but he eventually relaxed and sat in my lap to watch the show. Laura Anne, on the other hand, thought they were funny and cracked up for the first several minutes. She was laughing at the ones that looked like a fountain. How funny!
Sunday evening was spent at the beach again! I didn't take as many pictures this time. Laura Anne didn't really want her picture taken so I had to sneak them. She just loves the beach. I think she could stay there all day if we let her. She kept saying, "let's go in the sea!"
Caleb enjoyed playing with a bucket of water and a shovel. He did get to go in the water a little bit, and we donated his pacifier to the ocean. Both kids were covered in sand from head to toe by the time we left.
I didn't get many pictures of the adults, unfortunately, but I put a bunch more photos from the weekend on Facebook. You can click HERE to see them.
